Botlhale III

Have you noticed how well you do the little things, well that is how it usually goes with the little things in life. The following is just an embrace from me to you, filled with hope that you find yours in one of these sentences I have put together. This was the beginning of a new journey, one whereby I now climb the mountain without the Watchman, just me and my willing spirit to hear, understand and accept. Faith.

There is great benefit in having a mentor hold your hand on any journey you desire to explore, it is important to know when to stop.

I found myself atop of the great mountain, in awe of the presence of He who is still deserving of all praise. I closed my eyes and sang a few hymns, because sometimes our Lord does not require your own words, he just needs you.

And so it went;

Sona, marung o se a hlaha, O hlahile ka Borena,

Jo, o fahla le ka kganya, O eme kae kajeno?

Jo ‘na, Jo ‘na, ke tsatsi le botlhoko.

Sefela ~420

Our Lord beckons upon the clouds in His glory,

He outshines the stars, where do you stand today?

Oh my, Oh my, this is a day of sorrow.

Hymn ~420

There are enough people in the world to meet all of your needs and wants. You shouldn’t expect everything in life to come from your partner, friends, parents or even siblings. It is okay to give them a break sometimes and be open-minded, our God will always provide, how much more to the one with an open heart.

African wisdom teaches us that it takes a village to raise a child. As you grow older, the better you understand what that truly means. To the one who does, hold on to the truth that it also takes a village to build and keep a marriage. It takes a village to fully heal from heartbreak and the grief of losing a loved one. It takes a village to have a meaningful career, you will not succeed with passion alone. You need a village to build and maintain a relationship with God, do not underestimate the power of going to church and joining others in prayer.

There is a time for everything. Always live in moments, do not take yesterday into today and today into tomorrow. Do not go to work while at church and do not pray while you in the gym. There is a time for everything, keep it that way.

A time to mourn and a time for grief. Sometimes the opportunity to do so will not be immediate. Sometimes you will only get a chance to mourn your dearly beloved a few years later, life may support other parts of you at that moment and not allow you to grieve. Do not feel bad about it, ke bophelo.

A time to speak and a time to make peace. It is important for those who are spiritually gifted to know when to speak and when not to. It is important that you who is spiritually gifted know who is speaking through you and who is not. It is important that being spiritually gifted is not a burden to you, your gift cannot be a blessing and a curse. There is wisdom in the Bible that is hidden in a few words, these are “This is what the Lord God says”. The one who speaks on their own when addressing others will likely cause division, while the one who allows the Holy Spirit to speak through them when addressing others, will also cause division but has the ability to foster reconciliation and create peace.

A time to gather and a time to build. Be wise and understand that our God selects the time, it is not your desire that does. In your excitement, do not go and pick what you deem to be a sufficient blessing and ask God to help you get it. Wait for Him to give and then your duty will only be to maintain and be grateful for that that He has given. You do not pick a thing, person or path and then ask God whether it is the one or not, you do not pick. Put your hands away.

If only you knew just how many lives have been lost by failing to grasp the art of patience. You have been taught to plan and be intentional, and that is good, wait and it will be given to you according to how you have asked He, who is capable. Sometimes what is fairly straight-forward? seems complicated.

Fatshe lena ke la Morena, le botlhe ba ahileng ho lona

Sefela ~40

A time to mend and a time to love. The fruit of forgiveness can only be eaten by the one who plants the seeds. The freedom of letting go of the past, can only be enjoyed by the one who can loosen their grip, when holding on is the only option. The beauty of meeting God, can only be witnessed by the one who keeps their eyes closed, when in his presence. So then be wise and remember the story of Lot and his wife, once you have made a decision – Do Not Look Back.

A time to fast and a to time to pray. Dula le rona Morena, khopela o re fe mohau wa hao. Ha rena bophelo, rentse re sa tlhoka lereko la hao Ntate. Dula le rona Lesedi, khopela o re bonisetse. Re thuse reutlwe di nnete tsohle, re di amohele, e sale nako.

Ha se keledi tsa lona tse di le tlhatswang dibe.

Sefela~195

I have also witnessed the Saviour, the Light of the world,

The reward of Israel, The one who is above of all things.

He was in the Holy Temple, He is our Lord and Saviour.

Yes, I too will walk, I hope to find salvation in the City of Zion.

Hymn~195

This is just a leaf from my tree, better use of the time that was given to me.
